Can R-12 also be used to prevent nuisance from seagulls?
R-12 can be applied for seagulls in theory, but in Belgium the drug is only registered for urban pigeons. The FAGG (Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products) has not yet given permission for R-12 to be used for birth control in seagulls.
Can R-12 also be used to prevent nuisance from rats?
Nicarbazin, the active ingredient in R-12, prevents embryonic development of the egg. R-12 will therefore not cause sterilisation in rats because they don’t lay eggs.
